Yes, I HAVE returned from Cuba and am making amends for not posting for so long.

I actually DO get that a blog is for posting.

It's been a challenging week and work and I'm sick, so not managing well.

I promise to return this weekend after some rest and will get my act together. In the meantime, here's a taste of Cuba (where I wish I still were :-( )

Oh well, worse things have happened.
When we get back fron Varadero, I'll make it my mission to learn EXACTLY how to do this right.

New Challenges

I've been checking out different blogs, looking at the various challenges going on. I like the challenges because they challenge (big surprise) me to do something beyond what I normally would. For this post, I've settled on the How Much Is Too Much Challenge #98 and of course, my all-time fav Got Mojo. Theirs is Challenge #29. Doing one LO for both was an additional challenge and I had soooo much fun with it. I wonder if doing both at once makes this
Challenge 127????? :-)

I've also uploaded a slide show of LO's from our trip to Saskatchewan this past summer to Photobucket, but have yet to find out how to get the slideshow onto my blog. Not only am I challenging myself with LO's, I'm gradually (slowly) learning how to blog!

Here it is...I wouldn't want anyone who thinks of me as a grown-up (like the people I work with) to see this, so let's keep it to ourselves, shall we?

It's getting colder again. We've had summer here (really!) for a while now, after our initial deep freeze. I heard it's coming back, winter, that is.

Can you hear it? That's the theme music from JAWS..the heartbeat thump thump...thump,thump...just as the man-eating shark is sneaking up on you. I read another blogger tonight that said she was so cold, it was 29 degrees. Farenheit. Apparently, it's going down to minus 29 degrees Celsius. That's below zero kids! Run for your lives!

We should be in Cuba. Now.

Mojo challenge 28

Well, here it is a new year and it's c-o-l-d. Way too cold. I need to be somewhere else, somewhere sunny.
Every new year this is what I do. I spend hours online planning a trip to a warmer destination.
As a result of those hours online, we leave for Varadero, Cuba in three weeks. I want to take photos in Havana. I want to wiggle my toes in the icing-sugar-like white sand. I want to leave this god-forsaken frozen piece of real estate we call Alberta. And so we shall.

One last thought for tonight

and a much warmer one. I wish I were back in the Everglades RIGHT NOW. (Clicking her heels together three times, nothing happens, so she goes dejectedly to bed)

My darling daughter gets exactly what she was hoping Santa would bring.
