Here it be:
See?  I told you I would get it done.

Chrismas Joy 3

House Decorations.
I love the lights, the reindeer that swing their heads, the nativity scenes, the wreaths.
The only thing I don't like is those horrendous (IMO) inflated
monster snowmen/sleighs, penguins et al.
They creep me out, especially the next morning
when they are lying on the lawn with all the air let out of them,
looking like something from a science-fiction film.

Oops, I accidentally got up on a soap box that was nearby.
Sorry bout that.

I love the decorations.  What's your favorite thing that you see in yards in your neighbourhood?

Friday Fill Ins

1. As I neared the _end of my job, I knew it was not going to be pretty_.
2. _Gardens of Water_ is what I'm reading right now. It's _powerful and very sad_.
3. I didn't start out this way, _it was that night in New Orleans that did it_.
4. _I could hardly breathe there_ to tell the truth.
5. The best way to _be kind to yourself is to not get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired_.
6. This is the reason I am _feeling the way I am_!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _being with good friends_, tomorrow my plans include _a Christmas Party_
and Sunday, I want to _get my next project made for OG_!

Joys of Christmas-Day 2

Candles
I like candles
Lit ones, of course.
I like to light candles (and my fire) and sit in the living room feeling all warm and cozy.
And I like the special scents that seem to arrive at Christmas.
This year, it's sugar cookies for me.
So that's my second joy of Christmas.
Candles.

Joys of Christmas-Day 1

My friends, Rosemary and Jana are doing this deal where they list 12 Joys of Christmas.
I think this is a lovely tradition and one that will help keep me in a grateful frame of mind (which is not always my normal disposition these days).  So I am joining them.  No particular time frame, except that I have 12 to do and Christmas is less than 3 weeks away.
 My first Joy is
Christmas Music.
I have chosen to do 12 ATC's-I may or may not print them out and make a little book of them.

As for the music, my daughter thinks I am hilarious, cus I only know some of the words to some of the carols, but I sing along happily and loudly with them all.
You know how it's done,
T'was the First Day of Christmas, my true love said to me...
la,la,la,la,la,la, la

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way....
la,la,la,la,la, la, la

You get the picture, right?
Anyways, I love Christmas Carols and I love to sing along with them.

What are YOUR Joys of Christmas?

WOYWW?

This is what's on my workdesk this Wednesday.
Oodles and oodles of Christmas Inchies.
I signed up for a swap and then got mixed up and made too many.

Oh well, I guess I have my Christmas mantle decor figured out now, don't I?
I'll bet if you go and visit Julia at
not only will you get to visit tons and tons of other artisans
busily crafting their little pre-Christmas hearts out,
you will see the cutest blog header I EVER did see!
So go there.
Now.
Hurry.
The elves are watching.

Gingerbread

Jana has given us the sweet theme of
Gingerbread
for our theme today at
Well, not just today, but two full weeks you have to link up with something alon the lines of a
gingerbread recipe, dwelling, girl, boy, or in my case, a gingerbread-Victoria-Secret-Model.
I call her CHARME (pronounced Charmay)
Did you watch this years VS Show this past Tuesday?
Were you as depressed as I was?
At your lost youth?
OK, so maybe I never quite looked like those women on that runway.
But I do love the outfits.
They wore wings and tutus and I noticed in a lot of pictures the models were making these faces that kind of looked like they were yelling (in joy, I suppose, given the size of their paycheck for this thing)
Anyway, I found a face of a little girl who looked much like the screaming models.
And a gingerbread (person) chipboard form that actually
came from my good friend Jana, who is the creator of this theme.
She must really love gingerbread.
Jana, not the little girl.
Although the little girl might.
I painted her and covered here with holographic embossing powder, then made her a tutu, with a waistband from my ribbon stash.
A Christmas sentiment instead of a button
on her non-existent VS bra for her non-existent litle gingerbread boobies..
Acrylic wings edged with stickles.
An embossed hat with a cotton batting pom pom and a sticker which really says it all on the hat.

AND, her hat and the model herself are all edged with Puff paint which I heated to puff up.
I thought you might think it was icing.

And Voila!
A gingerbread Victoria-Secret Model.
(Well, I never!)

3. This is what I'm hoping for today/tonight: _that my DD arrives safe and sound_.
4. _What_ noise?
5. Ooh, a _baby!_.
6. _I'm just going to unplug my phone so it will stop_ ringing!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _chick flicks in front of the fire_, tomorrow my plans include _a cookie walk_ and Sunday, I want to _relxax_!

WOYWW?

Well, it's not my workDESK exactly, but it IS where I have been working.
(It's in front of the TV.  tee hee)
I took a class about 5 or 6 years ago and for whatever reason, I never finished the album.
As you can see, it's round.
As you can also see, it's a CHRISTMAS album.
The ROUND CHRISTMAS album is not fold-up-able and every Christmas, when I go to put it away, after having NOT finished it for yet ANOTHER year, I get all pi&*ed off at it.
SO
I am going to finish the darn thing this year and then when it won't fold up next year, maybe it won't pi$& me off so much.
Make sense?
Well, it makes sense to me.
You can peek in lots more workroom (or living room) windows at
