Vampy Witches

Is "Vampy" a word?
Spellcheck doesn't think so.
But take a look at these sexy witches from the
Gecko Galz Pretty Witches Collage Sheet!

Pretty vampy, eh?

In addition to the Pretty Witches Collage Sheet,
I used background papers from the
Coven paper pak,
icons from the Arsenic and Old Lace craft kit and
wordart from the
Witchy Words collage sheet set.

And these are all available

Very simple process to make these,
the same process I use to make
pretty much all of my
Gecko Galz samples:

I crop the image I want and mask it.
Place it and any icons I want over top of the background paper.
Add wordart.
Add a border overlay.
Done!

If you do digital,
you know how easy this is.

BUT, remember, my little
Gecko Galz pretties,
you can print any of the Gecko Galz products out very easily
and put them together with glue and scissors.

Have you made your entry for this month's
customer challenge yet?

All the deets are here.

And don't forget, on October 26th,
our Annual Halloween bloghop begins!

So it's a busy Gecko Galz month,
with tons of Gecko Galz fun.

Get your witch on, friends!

BINGO!!

Do you have your piece done yet for this month's
Beach Blanket Bingo Challenge?

There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!
It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!
The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!!

Wouldn't that be awesome to win?!?!

I made a few samples for this month:

They are all very different, even though
I used the
Seaside Splendour digital Stamp Set for all three.

Sample #1 uses:
Beachy Keen Paper Pak as the background paper
as well as a Bingo card from
the A Stitch in Time Collage Sheet Set
Sample #2 also uses the
Beachy Keen Paper Pak as the background paper
and
The Seaside Splendour Digital Stamp Set.
The only difference with this one is that I added
a blank layer between the background paper and the digital stamp and painted where I wanted
additional colours.
I changed the blend of the stamp to Multiply and that made the
white background disappear, and
the image itself transparent.

This last sample uses a
paper from the Country Stitches paper pak
that I added the letters for BINGO to
as my background, and again,
a digital stamp from the
Seaside Splendour Digital Stamp Set.

And then I completed it with a sentiment from
the In Other Words digital stamp set.

If you have visited me before, you already know that
my digital projects are always about layering.

And you know that I pretty much finish my products with some
kind of a border from my massive
digital stash.
(and I do mean massive,
It's embarrassing)

I take a gorgeous Gecko Galz paper
from the oodles of choices in the
I add a cropped image from any of the
gorgeous Gecko Galz Collage Sheets,
oodles of which are also in the

We ohly have about a week left for you to link up your
project with the
so if you haven't already,
GET BUSY!!

And we will see you there!
Thanks for stopping by!

Beach Blanket Bingo

Hi all,
It's August already!
How did that happen?
Humphf.
Since we only have about 2 months of summer here,
I cry a little every day in August.
lol
BUT, it IS a new month at
and that means a new
Customer Challenge!
There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!
It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!
The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!!

I made something to get your creative juices flowing...

The Gecko Galz Product I used for this are:

Vintage Summer collage sheets
Scripted Wordart Collage sheets and
the Altered Artifacts Collage sheet
(which may have been a freebie,
but there are sheets with
Bingo cards on them in the shop.)

Everything in my sample is layered, as always.
I rarely step out of my digital box these days,
I always follow the same process for my samples.
Crop the image and wordart you like.
Place it over as many layered papers as you like.
Add your choice of embellies, borders and the like.
And you are DONE!

Remember, you can find all of these fun products at

And you have almost a whole month
to go over to Gecko Galz
and link up your Beach Blanket Bingo.

See you there, and
thank you for stopping by!

Enjoy The Journey

It's almost August, isn't it?
What have you made for the July Customer Challenge at

What?!?  You haven't done anything yet?
Well, get at it, girlfriend!!

I used the Up, Up and Away Collage Sheet set
in each of my samples this month.
I LOVE balloons!

The other Gecko Galz products I used in each sample were:
1. Courtly Love Paper Pak
Charming Words Collage Sheet Set

2. Portabello Paper Pak
Versailles Paper Pak
Charming Worlds Collage Sheet Set

3. Butterfly Drreams Paper Pak
Charming Words Collage Sheet Set

My processes are always the same:
Crop the image I want to use, and the wordart I want to use.
Layer it over a background paper or two.
I may or may not change the blending mode.
Add a border and maybe use a brush,
both from my stash.
Voila!! Done!!

You know the rules with our challenges:

There is only one rule, and that is you need
to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!
It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images,
or digital papers!!  It is up to you!!
The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree!

And you also know that you can find these awesome
Gecko Galz images, wordarts and papers at

which is also, btw, where you will enjoy
your $25 Shopping Spree if you win!!

So get to it, my friend!
We always look forward to seeing your creations!

Happy Canada Day!

That has nothing to do with our new
July Gecko Galz Challenge.
I just felt like wishing you a Happy Canada Day!

Speaking of Canada, why don't you come up this summer and say Hi?
And take some photos.  And do a scrapbook LO.
And enter it in our new challenge:
Mind you, you'll need to come up here before the end of July.
But you can do that, right?

OK, ok, even if you don't come visit, there are
LOTS of awesome travel-themed products in the

I made this little piece to get you thinking:

The Gecko Galz products I used for my sample are

Postcards From Abroad Collage Sheet

First Class Passage and
St Peters Square paper paks

That pretty font I used for the words is Porcelain.
I found it free on one of the many free font sites.
Basically, I cropped the image I wanted from the collage sheet.
And layered it over repeated layers of the background papers.
In between the layers, I used a brush by Amanda Sok,
pulling the colours from the original image.

I finished it with the words.
I think it may have taken 20 minutes.
I love Digital art.

But just in case you don't do digital,
This could just as easily be done by printing the
various layers and image and
cutting them out and stacking them.
Easy as pie.

(Although I have never made an
especially good pie)

What are you going to make
for this month's
Customer CHALLENGE?

The only requirement is that you use
at least one item from the amazing
Gecko Galz Etsy shop

I look forward to seeing your creation.
Link up at
 Gecko Galz

and Good Luck!!

Electra, off to celebrate Canada a bit more.
Over and Out.
