Quote (again!)

Well, how cool is this?
This week the theme at both
and
is
QUOTE
so I get to do two quotes,
in two different mediums.
Sweet
The woman is by Xquisart and the birds, as if
everyone doesn't already know,
are Tim Holtz'.
The background was a fit of Gelli plate madness.

I had fun though!

Thanks for soming by!

This was taken at Dinosaur Provincial Park, near
Brooks, Alberta, Canada

Thanks for coming by and seeing my part of our world!

Mural Monday

This is partly (the bottom) done by the community children.
For the life of my, I don't know what the jars are full of;
Peaches?  Pickled Eggs?
Do you have any ideas?
I will make a mental note to ask next time I am in that town.

Have a funny day!

Home

The theme this week at
HOME
I am anticipating most of the artists will
create something lovely, full of heart and hearth
and good feelings.
I however, did a self-portrait of my home.
It IS lovely and full of heart and hearth
(if you include my fireplace)
and good, in fact, great feelings.
but it is kind of full.
:-)
Do you have any idea how long this puppy
took me to put together?!?!?

Here are the credits:

Creative People are seldom neat, you know.

I must go rest now.
But thanks so much for coming by!

I believe I can Fly!

is the current challenge over at the wonderful
and so of course,
I had to Try It.
I used a journal page I did using some Gecko Galz digital stamps and images,
and put it on a Tim Holtz canvas.
Added a butterfly on the canvas with some Dreamweaver Embossing paste.
I don't remember the maker of the butterfly stencil, sorry.
A little bit of colour with some purple Starburst
glimmer spray by Lindy's StampGang.
Some flowers, butterflies and bling from my stash
finished it off.

Love the inspiration I get at

You should check it out.
It's AWESOME!

Thanks for visiting me today.

Weekend Reflection

Thanks for coming by!
Have a funny weekend!

Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Shhh, let's Get Wordless!

Gecko Galz Get Busy!

It's almost July (gasp) and
I am just now showing you my Gecko Galz
samples for the month of June!

But that's OK, there has been a whole month of gorgeousness
to inspire you!

The theme this month
(as you can see on my sidebar) is
Man O Man.

My first sample fits the theme because the rabbit
trapped in the timepiece is saying
"Man O Man, Get Me Out Of Here!"

The fit of the second is evident, I believe.

And for this one, I used a
digital stamp of the hourse, from the Gentlemen's Club Digital Stamp Set.

For this next one, I used paper from the Gyspy Market Collection.
I cropped the woman from the Stay Young and Beautiful Collage Sheet
Then, I erased what I did not want on her.
I added a little wordart by Meaghan;s Creations, and placed the
whole kit and kaboodle over top of an unknown blue paper
from my stash.
I finished it off with a little brush work, both with paint and with glitter.
She strikes me as a woman who would like a little glitter.

All of the products I used in these can be found at the
and there is a free gift this month with each purchase!

You know, I'm sure that you get a free digistamp from each
DT member's blog, don't you?
Here is mine-just right click on it and save to your computer.
Here is what I made with it to get you started.
Digistamps can be printed out and coloured, or
use them digitally with your photo-editing program and
colour them in on the computer as you watch
Downton Abbey reruns on the tellie.

In my sample I did it digitally with a brush.

You still have time to enter the
Man O Man Customer /Challenge
I hope you do,

And thanks for coming by!

Kite

If I haven't been by your blog, please forgive me,
I was miles up north celebrating my daughter's convocation from university.
Woo Hoo!  She's awesome.
Two little kids under 4 years old, husband away working in the coal mine,
She lost her father and sister,
and she still graduated.
I couldn't be prouder!

But they have gone home now, and I found time to sit down and make this for

The Bird(s) but no bees.

Challenge #14 at
is Birds and Bees.
I made a canvas, but it's just got one bird on it.
I think that is OK.
She is one FANCY bird.

Goodness Me,
it is hard to photograph glitter, isn't it?

Do check out this challenge,
how can you not love
a blog-title of

Well, I guess, if you love cute....
My view on cute excludes my grandchildren, BTW.
They are
DARN CUTE!

Frosty The Snowman

EVERYBODY SING!!
La, la, la, la, la, la, la.

That's right!
The Belles have invited us to create
another Christmas, this time with the theme of Snow/man/flake/blower/shoes....
You get it?
I made two, and used a couple of images that I cut off
old Christmas cards.
I like to fussy-cut when I am watching TV.
Anyhoo, enough about me.

TA DA!!!!

taking back December one card at a time.
Of maybe two.
Sometimes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ice Cream

When I saw that the challenge at
was ICE CREAM
I knew what I wanted to do.
Old fashioned digital scrapbook LO of my favourite
photo of my daughter when she was little,
enjoying an ice cream cone.
Is the look on her face not Pure Joy?
The kit was called Exuberance and I'm pretty sure I got it from Scrapgirls way back when I
started digital scrapbooking.

This was fun.  Thanks for the challenge!

And thank YOU for coming by|!

Weekend Reflection

This is about a 1/2 hour drive from where I live.
I love the turquoise water from the mountains.
COLD, though!

Thanks for coming by,
have a great weekend!

Our House

is a very very fine house.

OUR HOUSE
is the current challenge at Paper Artsy
What magical houses/homes they have on their blog!
I am not kidding.  You HAVE TO check it out.
Seriously.
And another challenge blog that I have recently fallen in love with is:
Their current challenge is a
celebration of their second anniversary!
And we are invited to choose a favorite theme from their posts this year.
Take a look at the magical creations on the
CRAZY-GOOD!
Honest.
I chose the theme of
DIMENSION'

Here is mine:

This just kind of evolved.
I loved the art journal page by
Kate Crane on the Paper Artsy blog
and stamped these houses, intending to use them on a page, but,
well,
you know how that goes.
The houses are a Penny Lane stamp.
I made the "hotel" with a mold and UTEE.
That precious sign was a gift from my friend Sonya Nelson in the U.S.of A.

I surely did have fun though!
OK, you've seen mine,
now wander on over to
Paper Artsy
and
Mixed Media Monthly
  and leave some love.

and thank you ever so much for coming by!
