Tuesday Our World

That's a new photography challenge site I discovered while blurfing last week.
(It's a bad thing for me to have a week off work - lol)
Here's my part of the world this week:
In case you are wondering, those are the Rockies
and they are big.  That's why there is snow on them.
As long as it's not on my deck, I'm good with that.

Thanks for stopping by!

Photo Art Friday

Bonnie has given us a challenge to create a piece of
Flower Art with one of her
Pixel Dust Textures.
Easy Peasy, the only hard part was picing which texture to use,
they are all so awesome.
I actually used three of her textures,
Fanciful, Antique Me and Mirror, Mirror.
Then I finished it off with an overlay frame by Amanda Sok.
You can find Bonnie's shop at her blog
here
AND you can play along with her challenge for

Now that the wedding is over, I will be able to visit everyone's blogs again.
I'm really looking forward to it!

Summer

It was so chilly here last night, I considered wearing a parka.
OK, that's not "chilly", that's COLD.
Let's be honest.
At any rate, it was a perfect day for my darling
daughter's wedding this past weekend
and I'm really not complaining.
Really I'm not.
So SUMMER
IS THE THEME OF THE WEEK AT
and I made this LO
Victoria is the place I grew up and a recent visit to the harbour made me
think of summers spent on the beach, with no worries and no supervision, when I was little.
It was a different time back then.

Thanks for stopping by.
It's early in the week, so you have no excuse for not participating in this magical

Pink

is the theme at
this week.
I love pink.
In fact the woman who fills my
coffee cup at McDonalds Drive Thru
every morning before work comments
on how much I like pink.
(That's a useless bit of trivia for you.
There may be a test, so pay attention.)
Lots of credits for this one:
Lisas Altered Art, Websters Pages, Digital Whisper, Kristen Aagard,
Dawninskip, SusyQscraps, Tumblefish Studios, and Syndee Nuckles

Thanks for looking.
Now scurry on over to
to create something pinkly wonderful.
C'mon, you love pink.
You know you do.
I'll see you there.

without getting the name of the first paper I used.
I THINK it was Anthropology
The second uses papers by Graphic 45.
OLD papers by Graphics 45.
Perfect for this challenge, don't you think?

Will you join in?
It's such a fun theme.
You have until the end of August 10th to create
your beachy piece and link up with us.

Always Remember

It's been a sketchy kind of day.
I'm officially on holidays and have taken some time to do some digital art.
Tomorrow, I head south, to go to my darling daughter's wedding
(Woo Hoo!)
I did the July Canadian Scrapbooker Sketch Challenge

credits:  Cryztal Rain, Egiovanni, Studio Rosey Posey,
Coreen Silke, Cajoline and Monika Design.

BTW, did you know I was published in
Canadian Scrapbooker last month?
Another Woo Hoo!
But not as big a one as for my girl's wedding.
This is the LO
I can't remember if I showed you this.

And now I have!

Insect

I was creating this LO for the
when I realized,
Hey, Electra, there is an insect in your photo.
(well, duh, that's the whole entire point of the photo)
and then I realized,
Hey, Electra, Insects are the theme of the week at
How cool is that?
Here is the sketch provided:

Black, white and Red. And Digital Piracy.

The black, white and red part is for this week's challenge at
Thanks go to Beth Rimmer, Holliewood Studios, Bleuesse,
and Hidden Vintage Studios.

NOW, for the
DIGITAL PIRACY part.
Some smarmzy person name JanRogers
stole my good friend IndyBen's digital artpiece
and posted it under her (his?) own name.

That is SO IGNORANT.

However, what goes around comes around.

Did I spell Smarmzy right?

Nuff said.
:-(
Thanks for your visit, I really appreciate it!

Digital Backgrounds

for the new challenge at
Now if that isn't a fun challenge, I don't know what is!
I started with this paper:
I got it years ago from Digifusion, a site that no longer exists.
Then I jazzed the basic paper up with elements by
Sissy Sparrows,  Captivated Visions, and Holliewood Studios
Easy Peasy.

I used a couple of brushes by Amanda Frijo-Tobin and Sissy Sparrows
Added the woman and words by Holliewood Studios, a texture by Bonnie Zeiman,
and a background paper for a frame by Kim Jensen and we're done!

I hope you visit
not just to participate in this awesome challenge,
but to check out their gorgeous digital images.
You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Twelve Days of Cardstock

Fa La La!*!
The current challenge at
Jingle Belles is to create a Christmas card with cardstock only.
For this chick, that was a hard one.
I tend to put everything I can possibly fit on the card, on the card.
But I restrained myself.
Simple.
Pure Christmas Cardstock.

My Vacation, Reality of Fantasy - Red, Yellow and White

There is a new challenge at
Peggy has invited us to create something with a vacation theme in mind.
It can be fantasy or reality, your choice.
The optional colours are Red, Yellow and White.
I created my fantasy dream spot, with a whole bunch of colours:

I call it my ABH place.
( Anywhere But Here) lol
You know when my daughter and I were travelling in Thailand,
we had a code word SWA
It was a jam-packed adventure and we didn't always have enough time for enough sleep.
So we did something we called Sleeping While Awake.
I can't really explain it any more than that.
It worked for us.

Credits for my piece are Beth Rimmer, Holliewoods Studios, Sissy Sparrow,
Amanda Sok, Eeana's Creation and Dido Designs.

Now create something for your vacation in your mind or in the real world and link it up with us at
There are lots of Design Team Pieces to inspire you there, as well!

Thanks for visiting.
