Unruly RAQ - Tantalizing Texture

When I saw that this month's
at Unruly Paper Arts was
to create something with
TEXTURE
I knew I needed to participate.
I had to make a Thank you card for someone and so...
I think she'll like it.

Thanks for coming by!

Ring a Ding Bling

Tag # 13 at
is to use Bling!
Who doesn't love Bling!  Now I have to be honest with you, I kind of cheated.
I just found out I won the Gecko Galz
I am beyond thrilled.
I had such a great time making these (2) tags, and they are on
my fireplace mantle where I can admire them.
(That's a fairly significant thing for me,
oh ye of little confidence).
Of Course,
I used some Gecko Galz images.
The bling?
The background is shiny polished
Inka Gold Metal Gloss Paint
my new favorite product
and the sparkle is dollar store tinsel giltter.
Stickles top it off.
So the cheating is that I am posting these two tags for the
current challenge at
Nah, on second thought, I don't think that's cheating.
They were already made, but they are full of
BLING!

Cheating or not, I am one very happy camper!!

Thanks for your visit!

Shopping!

Challenge #170 over at
is
wait for it
SHOPPING!
We are inviting you to create something inspired by
that ever-present fact of life:
SHOPPING!
Maybe a Christmas card,
maybe a gift card holder,
maybe something that has nothing to do with any holiday,
but has everything to do with our
purchasing power.

I used some really pretty holiday images from Gecko Galz for my two cards:

and then I googled "Shopping" and came up with
all sorts of fun stuff.
I managed to waste a good deal of time making this baby:
My point is,
have fun with this!
Make something totally pointless or make something functional.
It's up to you.

We just want to see what you make!

You have until the end of Saturday, November 30 to link up with us at
The Order of the Opus Gluei

I'll see you there!

I am also submitting my two cards for the Jingle Belles Challenge:
"Holiday Traditions"
I don't know about you, but one of my favorite
holiday traditions is shopping.
Whether or not I have money. lol

My Weekend Reflection

Weekend in Black and White

This is an aqueduct not far from where I live.
It was built in 1913 (well, it took about three years, actually)
and it's over a mile long.
I was speechless when I saw it.

How many people are blessed

Just Because

A Time To Remember

Remembrance day (in Canada) is really important to me.
I raised my daughter to understand the importance of
the sacrifice our soldiers (and their families at home) made
so that we may have the life we do.
Now she is married to a man who feels exactly
the same way about our heroes.
I am grateful.
We are blessed.

Thanks for coming by.
