I was to Joshua Tree years ago with my cousins - We brought a picnic lunch and set up on the stone (or concrete) table provided - It was so hot and dry the bread toasted on the table as we made the sandwiches ! Certainly a memorable, strangely beautiful landscape,I can understand how it would stay with you!!
