I'm still plowing (plow, plow, plow) through my heritage album,
but a couple of weeks ago some kind blog-visitor said something along the lines like
"Why don't you take a break?"
NOW WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT???
See, that's just one of the lovely things about blogging,
is some kind soul will just mosey on over to
take a peek into one's workspace and blurt out some
PURE WISDOM.
So,
I am doing one heritage page for every four or six non-heritage pages.
And that is what you are seeing on my workdesk.
A couple of non-heritage pages.
Sweet.
See all sorts of wonderful things happening at Julia's

ReplyDeleteBeautiful layout! Taking a break is just what you need sometimes! Danielle #22
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of doing something similar. I do photos from the 1920's til now but I get bored working chronologically, even though I like filling in spaces and "catching up"--even though I never will be. I usually do one of my older pages, then two other pages from whatever period i want to do. I find I'm much more willing to work on my older stuff then.
ReplyDeleteNothing kills my creativity like having to do the pages, or doing them chronologically.....I gave up scrapping for over a year because I was ores rigid by it, and then I woke up and realised that I could do it all however I liked!! Funny aren't we..head down and get on....
ReplyDeleteI really like the photos you're working on, some fantastic memories there.
Gorgeous layouts, love the pics. Have agreat week, Shaz
ReplyDeleteI agree you need to take a break. Sometimes it's like a heavy weight hanging over your head . The pages look great

Yes, it is good sometimes to take a break - but to think of what you do achieve rather than what you don't - it's all progress in the right direction - I enjoyed my peep at your space and creativity -(Hazel, WOYWW #10) x
ReplyDeleteI hardly did any sewing over Christmas but enjoyed knitting instead. Then I got some commissions and it started all over again! I just don't like being bored....
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #68 xx
Love your desk with the jars and ribbons and great layouts - thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones aren't they? Love the LO's and the heritage ones will always be there whenever you're ready for them.
