Seashell

The theme at
this week is
SEASHELL

It just so happens
that I made some Thank You cards for folks we stayed with
at the coast last week.
With just that theme.
(Get it Seashells/At the coast)?
I used Gecko Galz products and was having so much fun,
I got carried away and made one more thing,
after the cards were done.

First, the cards:

 And then, my extra....
So I think they all fit the theme this week.

The Three Muses

As well, I am submitting this for
Use Your Stuff
which also has a beach theme this week!

You can find these amazing papers and images HERE

Feeling Zen

Hah!  That is SO not true.
I went back to work today, after my lovely holiday and
started getting stressed last night, just thinking about it.
So I was up until 3, then up at 5 to go.
Sigh.
Don't get me wrong, I love my job,
but the amount of work I am facing right now is a tad
mind-numbing.
Oh well.

I came home and made these ATC's, thinking it might help.

The Zentangles are by
 I embossed the backgrounds
and smooshed some Distress Ink over them.
Ranger dots for a border.

NEWSFLASH:

Did it help to mellow me out?
No.
But I like them.

Going to bed now.
Nightie night.

Sugar Plums

is the current challenge at

(Have I told you lately that they rock?)

For my first card I used some very old paper that I
have no earthly idea why I bought,
as I don't like it in the least.
But I have to admit, it is perfect for this challenge.

Then, I used some awesome vintage playing cards
I actually WON! from
the very same Jingle Belles last year!
I will have to look through my
cadre of friends, to see
who would be the most suitable
to receive this little gem!

I can guarantee you,
there will be someone!

Thanks for coming by,

Check out

Layers

I printed out this awesome photo of my cousins
and brother when they were little,
Heaven's only knows where I was.
Probably pouting in the corner or
something equally charming.

The current challenge at
is to use
LAYERS

That is just about my most favorite things to do you know...
And I won a passle of goodies from
Canadian Scrapbooker,
so that's what I did.
Make Layers!
Elements used are by Websters Pages, Fancy Pants and Glitz Designs.
(Not to mention my substantial stash)

Thanks for coming by,
I hope life is treating you well today!

(PS, who knew I was too late to enter the challenge...
Oh well, I like the LO!)

Turquoise

is my favorite colour.
And that's the challenge at

Use Your Favorite Colour

So I did:
OK (deep breath)
The list of credits is endless for this one:
Itkupilli, Holliewood Studios, Beth Rimmer, Bonnie Zeiman,
Studio Tangie, Lisas Altered Art, Crowabout Studios,
Rucola Designs, and The Gilded Bee.

(OK, that wasn't so bad)

It's nice to be back home making stuff again!!

A Good Read

Challenge #188 at
is
A GOOD READ
What does that inspire you to create?

Something in honour of a favorite book you have read, a mixed media piece
made with vintage dictionary pages?
Maybe a little book of quotes?

Mine is a very simple card.  I used a card base that I got from Mikey's, and added an image from Gecko Galz that I printed, cut out and coloured.  Her necklace is Perfect Pearls.  I added a flower from my stash. All the books I read are on CD in the truck.  It just seems when I get home, I would rather be making things than reading things, but living out of the city and commuting,
I get to read/hear a lot of books.
That's what works for me!

You have until Saturday, August 9 to play along.
Link up in the comments at

The Order of the Opus Gluei

Beachy Keen Bathing Beauties

So I made this tag last night and it turns out it is good for a couple of challenges this week!

This is for
Vintage Seashore/Bathing Beauties
and
Beachy Keen

Bathing Beauty image is by Gecko Galz,
the rest is from my substantial stash.

Have a funny day!

Leaves

I took these pics while walking around in a really spectacular spot last fall.
We only have colours for about 3 days here, it's all I can do to
go to work each day for that time, and not spend all my time
out in the woods with my camera.  lol

This is for this week's

Thanks for coming by!

Butterflies

I actually wanted to make two big prints to fit a couple of photo frames I have.
I found them when I was dusting my bedroon.
I don't often dust my bedroon.
Well, actually, the dust was so think, it was more like WASHING my bedroom.
What can I say?

So the first, I made with this week's theme at
Take a Word  in mind.
The second just goes with it, cus there are two frames.

I hope your summer is awesome,
I haven't been around much and next week, I leave town
(and work!)
Yay!

The second doesn't have butterflies,
but it's a set, so you have to see it.
(Don't look if you are a purist, the theme after all is Butterflies)
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Challenge #142 at Use Your Stuff

Admittedly, it's not the best photograph in the world of this LO.
But the theme this week is to use chipboard on your piece. And I did that.
I love this page actually, I think it's full of fun and movement.
(must be why it's blurry-lol!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Can't Sleep

so I made this for
I have 4 1/2 hours until I get up for work.
May as well try again.
