Just Because-sticking with the Wild West Theme

SPA-Wild West

I just happened to be listening to this song on the radio,
when I was trying to come up with something for this week's
The phoot of the barns is my own, and the woman is by Gecko Galz.
Thanks for coming by!

Tic Tac Toe

Do you know how many times I have made a card for
and missed the deadline to post it?
Many, that's how many.
So, short and sweet, since I am an hour past my bedtime and I work
a 14 hour shift tomorrow...
My Tic-Tac-Toe are
Santa, red and bling.

Night-night
Electra over and out.

Artist Affirmation

You know...
I finally have my home and my bed back,
and I'm committed to something every single night this week, but
I just HAVE TO make artsy stuff or I will
LOSE MY MIND!
So when I saw that Bill has presented us with the theme
Artist Affirmation
at
this week, I skipped supper and made something for it. lol
credits:  sissy Sparrows, Dawn Inskip, Outside the Box Design Studio,
Tangie Baxter,and Bonnie Zeiman.

I just KNOW there will be some awesomely powerful art this week,
so I'll meet you over there.

Our World Tuesday

I haven't had a chance to do much in the way of art or blogging,
but the end is is sight.
Tomorrow, my company is on their way
and I get my bed and my life (lol) back.
I love them, but I miss the bloguverse.
In the meantime...
Isn't this cool?

Thanks for stopping by,
I am really looking forward to coming to see you!

Dive Deep

Grand Poobah Jana has invited us all at
to do exactly that.
Create something with an ocean theme.
Under, over, inside, near
Water.

Thanks to Suhura, Lisa's Altered Art, Rian Designs, Bonnie Zeiman, and Fidlette,
for the use of their elements.

You have until Saturday, September 7th to dive deep with us.
And you know how we roll.
The sky's the limit.
(or in this case, the ocean floor.)
I can hardly wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to stopping by your place!

Alice, just under the Wire

The current challenge at
is Alice in Wonderland
And I was lucky enough to win a couple of collage sheets from Lunagirl last month, so I have been trying to find time to create something with those lovely sheets.
Finally...
an ATC:
and a card to go with it!
When I have more time, I am going to make more with these sheets
because the colour and images in them are really wonderful!
The current challenge ends in 2 days, but you still have time to make something.

Thanks for coming by!

Steampunk

I haven't had time to create any thing artsy this week and
I miss the challenges I normally participate in.
So, when I saw that this week's theme at
was Steampunk,
I decided to put everything else on hold and make this real quick.

Finecrafted Designs, Sissy Sparrows.

Ok, back to what I am supposed to be doing...

Thanks for coming by.  I hope to see you at your own blog!

Our World Tuesday

I live on the praire.
Well IN the prairie, next to the mountains.
I DO NOT live near the ocean.
Nowhere near any large aomounts of water.
So that's why it is so weird that more days than not, lately we have had
fog so thick, I had had to use my fog lights in the daytime,
to see in front of me on the highway.
For
I thought I would show you that.
It's very green.
But very weird.
I ask you, does this look like prairie to you???
 So much for summer.

Be sure to check out
and you will have a trip around the world.
Maybe even see some prairie.
lol

Thanks for coming by!

There's no place like home

At least, that's what the
tell me.
And so this is the card I made.
But look at the clock!

It's from an old watch I took apart and it has
music notes on it!
I thinking it's playing
"I'll be home for Christmas."

Visit
and make a card with them.
It's not too late.
Come Christmas, you'll be set!

Thanks for looking at my card!

Wild Animals

for
I was going to do something teaming with nature and
with possibly a jungle theme.
What can I say?
Elements are by Sissy Sparrows,
Dezinaworld and Flergs

Thanks for visiting my world.

School

is the theme of the week at

I had a really hard time finding a photo that I felt would work for this theme, but I finally tracked down a picutre of some schoolchildren in Havana.
Their joy made me think of childhood and how school can enhance that happiness for some children.
The quote itself is by the ubiquitous Mark Twain.
Thanks for stopping by,
I hope to see you at

The Start of Something Big

(I hope)
Poobah Chat Noir at
has invited us, for Challenge #163, to create something
that shows off the beginning of something, or a new beginning.
 (I hope)

credits:  Crowabout Studios, Rian Designs,
Beth Rimmer, and Bethany Harty.

Time will tell.

we all start something new every day, so you
have no excuse to not participate in our fun challenge.

You have until
the end of Saturday, August 24th
to link up with us and I really hope you do.
It will be a great way of getting to know you a little better!

See you there:

Thanks for coming by!

Fish out of Water

OK, I screwed up.
But I had such a great time doing it.
When I saw the theme at
was
"A Fish out of Water"
I got all excited and created this:

I like it
A lot.
BUT
if you know anything about
you know the only stipulation is that whatever you create
must be 4"x 6".
Hence, the name
Duh.

So I got busy and made this:

What can I say?

credits for the first:
Beth Rimmer, Bonnie Zeiman, Rucola Designs,
Cryztal Rain, Tangie Baxter, Tumblefish Studio, and Gennifer Burbett
and for the second:
Rian Designs, Rinecrafted Designs, Joanne Brisbois, Beth Rimmer and
Susan Tuttle.

Now if you visit
you will find
postcards

But those folks read the directions.
lol

Thanks for coming by.

Tuesday Our World

That's a new photography challenge site I discovered while blurfing last week.
(It's a bad thing for me to have a week off work - lol)
Here's my part of the world this week:
In case you are wondering, those are the Rockies
and they are big.  That's why there is snow on them.
As long as it's not on my deck, I'm good with that.

Thanks for stopping by!

Photo Art Friday

Bonnie has given us a challenge to create a piece of
Flower Art with one of her
Pixel Dust Textures.
Easy Peasy, the only hard part was picing which texture to use,
they are all so awesome.
I actually used three of her textures,
Fanciful, Antique Me and Mirror, Mirror.
Then I finished it off with an overlay frame by Amanda Sok.
You can find Bonnie's shop at her blog
here
AND you can play along with her challenge for
Thanks for stopping by, I love to see you!
