Holiday Happenings

Over at Gingersnap Creations  they are running a deal where they give you a prompt for Christmas cards, with the plan that if we make 5-10 cards each month, beginning in July, we will have 25-50 cards when it's time to send them out.
It's a great theory.
Now I want you to know that there is no way on God's Green Earth that I will be making 5-10 cards each month.  But that's OK, cus I'm pretty sure I don't have 25-50 friends.  So it's all good.  If I make even ONE card each month, I should have it covered.
I can't remember which companies made the parts of this card (it was six month's ago, OK???)  But I CAN tell you that the scalloped paper on the right hand side was the packaging from something I bought.
And it's hard to see in the photo, but there is stickle snow on the moutaintops and the penguin's apron is covered with glossy accents.  His chubby tummy just begged for that.
This month's theme is "Outdoors".  I think this fits.
Well, maybe I'll do another card.  You'll be the first to know.
It could happen.

  1. OMG, you're hysterical. That's the way I feel when I buy cards, like ok, I only have five people to send them to, so why do I need 25? roflmao. You're right, even if we start now, one a month, we'll still have some leftover.... This is really great, and I love that you used packaging, a girl after my own heart...heee!

  2. HA! You are too funny! See, I make the 25-40 cards or so and then I end up with a whole bunch of extras because I DON'T have that many friends! (Or...maybe because I only give cards to people I can hand them to in person because for me getting to the Post Office is nearly impossible...it's like some sort of disability. Just say'n.) HA! This is really cute!

  6. I am so impressed. You made a card. And I am so not surprised that it is gorgeous. I love that little penguin, and the glaze on his tummy is too cute. I am right there with you on not having too many cards to send at Christmas. I still have some cards I made a few years ago. LOL. Part of the reason is that like Jingle, I have a post office allergy.
