Hardcore

I fell asleep when I got home. Not just asleep, but REALLY asleep. and so now I feel like I've not accomplished much. Well, anything, actually.

I was busy last night, did a few LO's and so posted three this evening. I had planned to go out this evening, but there's always tomorrow. Fortunately, I didn't have to make any supper, as I never ate my

sandwich at work and so had that to gobble when I finally did get up.

I hate Microsoft. I hate Windows. I don't hate a lot but I hate that. tonight it would let me sign into my own blog, for crying out loud. so I ended up spending about an hour trying to change the oh-so-annoying settings and in the end, wasn't able to change much of anything. I thought it was annoying BEFORE, but now it's updated itself and blocks me from doing the most basic stuff and asks me about programs that I've used almost daily for YEARS. I hate Microsoft. I hate Windows.

Just came home from our September canvas class at the Yard. It's great, school-themed, nonetheless, very vintage.
Had a busy day at work, it seemed like there was something scheduled every minute of the day. I do my own schedule, though, have no one to blame but myself. too bad, that.
I found a new library in the deep south and found some new art books in that library in the deep south. (can you hear me reciting "The house that Jack built"?
So, a short post tonight, as I want to read my new books.
And put my feet up.
And my jammies on.
And do nothing of any consequence.
So I shall.

Honey Goes Swimming

Just got home from a day at the Scrapyard, scrapbooked all day. Could life be any better? I love long weekends, we should have one every week.
They had a Cricut cartridge called Puppy Tales, or something like that...anyways, there was a picture (is that what you call them, "pictures"?)
of a "water dog" wearing one of those floaty things around it's waist. Geesh, I'm English-challenged tonight. Do dogs have waists?
Life preserver, that's what it's called. At any rate, it was a hoot and I cut a couple out. Although this LO of Honey is digital, I'll be doing a paper one soon. Gotta have that "water dog" embelly for it!

Let's see, would I want to live in Vegas? Nope, don't think so. But I surely do like to visit.
We visited the corn maze today, not exactly Vegas, but pretty fun all the same. My gosh, I thought we'd never get out of there!
Of course, the kids started out running but later, much, much later, they were dragging their sorry butts, just like us old people.
It was A-MAZE-ING
she says-, grinning ear-to-ear. :-)

Challenge #22-Order of the Opus Gluei

It's a lovely night, had a friend over for supper and we talked and talked.
It was great. Other than that (no, actually INCLUDING that) it's been a very laid back day. I went to a Red Hatter garage sale and got three new hats and some other treasures. It was well worth setting the alarm and getting up early for.
Gimme Five-My five favorite ATC's, for now anyways. I need to make some more, I love making ATC's!

Tonight, drove to Cochrane with a good friend and we talked lot.

I was lot overdue. I haen't done much of my art this week, but I've been kindof veggin

I need to get moving, tomorrow, starting with a garage sale in the south. Supposedly they have Red Hat clothes for sale. EEhaw,I'll be there early!

I love hats

One of the Red Hatters and I decided to celebrate our birthdays this month by going go karting. do ya think anyone will join us???? What a bunch of jam tarts. :-(
I signed up for a class at the College of Art & Design, FELTMAKING. I am SO excited. It's something I've wanted to do for ages, but never got around to. Now I shall.
The renos are going well at work, everyone is pitching in and helping. I need to plan a trip to Drum and Bowden and it looks like I'll need to go to the Max as well. At least if I go to Edmonton, I can visit Treasured Memories. That's my FAVORITE scrapbooking store in the whole wide world. And I've been to a lot, trust me. Never did find one in Thailand or Manhattan though.

So, I'm on my own. the child has gone to Lethbridge to learn to be a teacher. Got an email already, she's eating cupcakes with her new roomies and sounds happy happy.

I worked late tonight, had a warrant issued on a guy with an Att-ti-tude Prob-lem big-time. Now that I'm home, I'm actually ready for bed. LOL Stayed up long enough to do a LO of the girl: used a QP by SueliColbert. She has some very kule stuff on her site.
Tomorrow night we begin to rip the kitchen apart at work. Should be fun. Not.

Computer challenged

Oh my. I have been dickin' around with the template for this blog for the past 3 hours. First, I tried to design my own and when I was happy with it, do you think I could upload it?

As I type with my right hand, I am tossing the instructions in the paper shredder with the other.

I gave up. but then, just before packing it in, I managed to get this one installed and I LIKE IT! Or, I'm just too tired to try any more. Good night, another week begins.

Two more days before my dear girl is gone and I'm so bummed.

Everglades visit

Went to the fireworks tonight-China performed, it was AWESOME!
We didn't know the words to the Chinese anthem though, so we couldn't sing along.
I found this wonderful blog http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ and it looks like so much fun-my kind of women! I immediately had to do a project for their current challenge, it's a water theme.
Hence the photo: I was riding an airboat in the Everglades one day, minding my own business, I might add, when I noticed this crocodile lurking in the grasses. I swear he was watching me. I give thanks to the gods that be for not allowing him to eat me.

I've been watching Big Brother. God knows why. Went to see Lion King today, it was AMAZING!!!!! Brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. I haven't done any art this weekend, but have spent time with the girl, knowing she's gone soon. I'm really going to find this house big and empty without her. I'm not looking forward to it....

Saturday, August 22, 2009

It's been a good day, spent it with Kaitlin, we finished stripping the dresser and then took the dogs for a walk along the river. Got some awesome photos of Honey doing what dogs do in the water. Had a great supper with food we got at the Farmer's Market. This is the way a summer day is meant to be.

I'm most ready for bed, looking forward to Lion King tomorrow with the Cookies. Good night.

Friday

Let's see, it's the end of the week and I have only 8 more hours to go at work. I like working the late shift, for the sleeping late part, but I start to drag at around 8 PM. My brain and body both get tired! I finished the Journal Revolution book and loved every page-I'm inspired to create a Diorama, maybe this weekend. I also want to do a couple of pages to display in my newly-painted office. Green. Looks very clean and happy. Just like I feel this morning.

Sunday, August 16, 2009

Another weekend done, I'm not ready for it to end. HOWEVER, it's late and tomorrow's Monday. Who invented Monday's anyways? Someone with a grudge against the world I suspect. Now if I invented the world, every day would be Friday. I'm always excited on Fridays. No matter what. Fridays always seem so easy. I should have invented the world. It would have been better.

Rod Stewart

Hah! Just got home from the Rod Stewart concert, didn't even know I was going, until I got an email at work inviting me-Wanda had a free ticket! Holy cow, he's hot for an old guy. and cheeky! The place was just rockin, there was even a "love train" snaking it's way through the crowd. do ya think I'm sexy?
sure do, Rod!

TGIF. Worked the night shift last night, I am way too old for this! Good thing I did tho, as one of the men came back drunk and we had to have him arrested. If I hadn't been there, our student would have been alone-not good. It's Vancouver weather again today, if you stand still in one place too long, you'll rust.

Off for a massage and then one more night shift. I can do this. I can do this...

Mojo Challenge #36

Last night I saw a shooting star. How cool is that? I work the afternoon shift today and so could sleep in, can't complain about that! Unfortunately, I stayed up until 2AM working on pages. will I never learn? Oh well, nobody died.

I am tired though........

What a sunrise!

Simply want to say that this morning's sunrise was spectacular! After photographing and chasing sunrises and sunsets throughout our roadtrip, here, out my studio window is the prettiest picture of reds and pinks and purples-nice way to start the day.

Finally Back Home!

Well, after 8 states and 7300 km, we're back safe and sound. Actually, I'm back to the real world, work and all, and the girl has flown off to the east. I guess she's her mother's daughter, after all, home four days and gone again.
There is always so much catch up at work when one leaves, especially with my boss sick for the past week and a half. Oh well, I feel so rested, I almost don't even care. Almost.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

counting down

Well, 4 more sleeps are we're off to the Grand Canyon. And a whole bunch of other places and I am getting SO EXCITED! I think sometimes the best part of the trip (almost) is the anticipation.
I feel happier, knowing I'm looking forward to a break from work, I'm always excited to see new things, new places. Could like really be any better than to be able to do what we do?
giggle.

Mojo Challenge 35

It's Sunday. A week from now, I should be camping in Bar Nunne, Idaho. Who names a place Bar Nunne? Is it better than everywhere else, bar none? Or worse? I guess I'll find out.

I finished my Bliss album today, after spending 6 hours straight on it yesterday. I'm really happy with it. Judy called me yesterday and raved about my retro album that's at Bliss for this month. When I turned it in, Rose did the same. I think it's a winner. Holy cow, what a lot of work it was, though! Makes this one look like a walk in the park. Who ever started that saying, walk in the park? Was it someone walking in the park? Was the walk easy? Was the day easy? Money doesn't grow on trees, that's another one I've always wondered about. Is there a secret money tree somewhere that the person whose yard it is in doesn't want the rest of us to know about, so they made up the saying? It all makes my head hurt.

The page is about my girl, who is in Tofino now. I guess she caught a 35 pound fish the other day. Cool, I haven't taken her fishing since she was 4. I miss her, maybe that's why I did a LO about her. I just booked our rooms at the TI in Vegas, she's going to love it. I hear the beds are to die for. Mmmmmmmmmmmm...

Pluggin' Along

Oh man, what a long time it's been since I've been here. Busy getting ready for our trip, busy wrapping up the Cuba albums, busy with work, busy with whatever. I'm spending so much time getting inspired by other's work on line, that I haven't done so much of my own. Well, that's not actually true, I have done my wall gallery in my bedroom, it's looking pretty fine.

And I ripped up the carpet in my studio, laid tiles (the baseboards aren't on yet) and re-organized the entire room. Now I have so much natural light, I LOVE IT! So I have accomplished some things.

And what I HAVE done, I've taken great care with an great time. I may be less productive, but there's a better quality of work that I'm bringing to the table. I feel good about that.

Now that I've said how regretful I am that I haven't been here more, I shall sign off so I can go to bed. What can I say? I do the best I can with what I have. There simply are not enough hours in the day for the things I WANT to do.

Me and the boys

Good day today, went to Bowden and met with two high-risk guys. I also met the head of security and an IPO who suggested we come and do a presentation to the PO's. We'll do that, it's a great idea.

I had an epiphany for my Bliss album. I'll do it without photos, instead, it will be memories from my childhood that I don't have photos support for. I've put the album together, and will scan some photos of me as a child to put throughout. I'll use a number of techniques I've gotten from the book I'm reading on Art Journals. After wondering in the back on my mind what I shall do about this month's challenge, NOW, I'm excited.

Cuba is done!!!

After months of working avery week on my photos from our trip to Cuba back in February. the scrapbook pages are finally all done. I never though that would happen. What a great feeling!

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

It seems I post at the end of the day as an afterthought. It's not that I don't want to post, it's just that there are so many other things I want to do as well. I got some scrapping done tonight, trying to get some work ready to take to Scrapyard on Thursday-I can do some work of my own before my class. I fall asleep almost on the way home and then have a ten minute power-nap when I get home. If I begin to work in my studio, I don't cook eat, or do much else, so the past couple of days I haven't allowed myself to start anything until I've cooked and eaten. I made some amazing Greek soup tonight, I really can cook when I do it. It's all about discipline or my lack of it. It is nice to have such a full life though, that I hardly want to take time to eat or sleep. Maybe that's dysfunctional.............

Monday, June 15, 2009

I'm reading a book about creating an art journal. In it are some "vision cards". I closed my eyes and picked one, it says
"embroider".
That means I shall embroider something this week. Something. Or may I embroider the truth?

I was also prompted to pick out 4 amazing things from my stash and use them. Ask myself why I'm not using them? The answer is, because they are hidden away, in my file cabinet. I can't see anything that's in there. That in itself is another good (very good) reason to NOT buy any more. Maybe the best yet.

I laid awake for awhile last night and browsed through the travel books on Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. I looked at Phoenix, nothing there interests me. then Albequerque, not too much there either. But SALT LAKE CITY. Well, that's another story. Lots of interesting stuff there. We shall have to spend an overnight there. Getting excited already.................

Sunday, June 14, 2009

So I wonder where this ton of Ansel is? It sounds interesting. It's been a productive weekend, I have a rearranged studio and my work table is not right in the window where I can work in natural light until the sun goes down. I'm pretty sure I did a crummy job on the floor, but it looks good. (for now)
I was incapacitated for last evening and had some trouble getting down the stairs this morning. The ol' bod' is NOT used to working on my hands and knees/bent over, ripping carpet, pulling staples, laying tiles, moving furniture. Not even one bit. I'm still pretty sore and have had to lay on the couch/bed doing nothing for most of the day. Made a wonderful meal though, rock cornish game hens, dilled potatoes, bbq-ed asparagus. Man, it was good! We ate outside and there was one little cloud over top of our yard that rained on us while we ate. Not before, Not after, just while. You gotta love Mother nature.
Going through all my stuff and organizing it has been a labour of love and shows me all the goodies I have to play with. Now I just want to play.

Friday, June 12, 2009

The furniture is out of my studio and some of the baseboards are off. We are about to disconnect the computer and I'll be off-line for a few days while we do our thing. It's all looking good, we're going to set things up differently, in a way that brightens the entire room and gets rid of some of the clutter. And THAT hopefully, will allow me to create even more easily with less distraction. This is an evolution for me, but a good one, I think.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Another good day. that is, until I rear-ended someone with my truck. Now I know what kind of damage my bush bars can do. I wanted to cry, but what's the point?

Got a call after that that one of my employees is in hospital, had a seizure. Her mother, who called, just had surgery for breast cancer and a week ago, they learned that they did not get it all, there is much more. And her dad just lost his job.

I'm going to complain about a little car accident? Nope. I'm blessed.

This LO is of my Uncle who is now in his 80's. I haven't done the title yet, it was in 1941, I had to email my aunt to learn the year. He looks so young and so fresh, with his whole life ahead of him. and he is off to war, a horrific war at that. My gosh, we have no idea what it was like then.

I'm happy they caught one of the gang members who did the triple murder on New Year's Day. The turd was let out on $2000.00 bail a couple of days before, after facing over 30 weapons charges. My god, I know sure who is more screwed up, our justice system or the thugs. I suspect it's the former. We should rise up in the streets. But I can't. Not with the work I do. It's just SO wrong though.

Another of my staff called me a couple of days ago, her daughter was assaulted pretty badly by her BF, for want of another word. Mom said they had no food and I was trying to to think how I could help her, so I went through my freezer and cupboards and took some food into work. I asked our cook if she could put together something as well, I suggested some cooked leftovers that they could just heat up. There is only her and the two babies, the guy is in jail (if he still is). Well, she put together boxes and boxes, meat and cereal and rice, pasta, fresh and frozen veggies potatoes and frozen french fires, this list went on and on. It was wonderful. I took the stuff over to her mom and she was so grateful and so touched. Later my boss said I could take credit, but I can't. It's the conversations I started having with Creator again asking to be shown way to be of service to him. It's his credit. not mine.

Good night.

Great day today, amazing what a difference it makes, starting the day with a smudge. I need to get back in that habit. Have spent the last five hours taking apart my studio is preparation for pulling up the carpet and tiling on the weekend. Yikes, what a lot of work. Yikes, what a lot a stuff I have. It's shameful. I am tired, been a lot of work this evening and a really busy day at work.
The LO is of Mom who died 3 years ago this week, 5 days after her 90th birthday. That was a tough year. It's nice to be able to reflect on her life without the pain and anger. Goodnight.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

It's past bedtime, just wanting to say I've been working all day on a canvas for my bedroom wall. I'm liking how it's looking. Maybe I CAN do art. For the second part of the day, I scrapboked and did a lot of that yesterday. I've done some really cool LO's, feeling pretty fine about them. It IS bedtime however. My work is done here. :-)

Saturday, June 6, 2009

Oh man, I should never start doing LO's when I need to be somewhere. The committee in my head says, "You don't need to go out, just stay in and keep making beautiful stuff! Arrggghh!
Shut up!
I'm outta here.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Simple. Made it through the week, almost, it's Friday again. Had a good day, went to sleep last night planning art. work up doing the same. Hmmmmmmmm, what's my heart telling me, I wonder?

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

Trying to get back on track with posting, seems like I've been gone far too long. I've slowed down a fair bit, my word for the year is "calm" and I'm trying to apply it to my life. I've been going to bed earlier for awhile now and working at a much slower pace. I like it. I like it a lot.Haven't been working out for awhile now, but there are good reasons for that. I plan to get back at it next week, at least I haven't gained weight.I sure do like food. Always have, always will. So be it.
It's June, whistle, clap, cheer! It seems like I've been sick forever, but no matter, summer is here. Yeeks, I have to get going, get the truck into the shop. Only have time for an affirmation-I will have a good day today, in spite of being sick. The sun is out, I accomplished some good artwork last night and all's right with the world. TTFN

Sunday, May 24, 2009

What a day.

My word for 2009 is CALM. It did NOT work today. I went to the truck to go meet a friend for supper and the truck would not start. This is not an old truck. I did not have the friend's cell number and so had to call a cab. The cab cost #25.00. Supper was good. The friend drove me home. After she left, I realized I had left my house key and truck key in the cab. Thank goodness I had a second key stashed, got in the house at least. Called the cab folks, cabbie had gone off shift. I only have one truck key that will disarm the alarm. Never mind I went to two, count em, two places yesterday to get a second remote, with no success.
The cabbie called and agreed to put the keys in his mailbox. I call K and ask her to come and take me to the cabbies' at the other end of the city. She is not happy. We go to the cabbies'. ONE of my key sets is in the mailbox, the other (my truck key) is still in the back of the cab. He is not home. K drives me home. I call the cab company. They tell me I have to wait until he comes back on shift. And when will that be, I ask? They don't know, they say.
I have no key to get into the truck, so that I can call AMA so that I can get a boost, so that I can get to work. I am NOT Calm. I am going to bed. I hate my life.

Monday, May 18, 2009

My girl made it home OK, I had a wonderful weekend while she was gone. W&I barbequed steaks and had assorted cheese and crackers, antipasto, sauteed mushrooms, blue cheese and blackberry salad in a rasperry vinaigrette dressing, rotini salad with asiago cheese, and then, as if it could get any better, turtle cookies and french pastries. OMG it was sooooooo good. Nice to catch up with W too.

Joni Gray posted one of my LO's on her blog, that's a real thrill for me. And I won the Our corner Airdre contest! What a nice surprise that was! I love it when people like my LO's.

Got a fair bit done this weekend, almost done Cuba. I spent a long time fiddling around with a page for the Dreamgirls challenge and got it just that way I wanted to be. THEN, I realized I missed the deadline. (Kick self in head) Duh. It's great page though.

Sunday, May 17, 2009

Just finished a LO a minute ago and want to post it before I go to bed. It was fun, used a lot of elements fron different sources. I'm so glad to have found all the wonderful free resources on the Net. I try to be mindful of copyrights, hope I've succeeded.
It's been a lovely day. Summer is here, until the snow comes again next week. I found an awesome urban thrift store, K will love it as much as I do. got shoes shoes and more shoes. It must be a genetic things, this fascination we women have for shoes. Nothing spectacular in my case, just found some funky ones with a not-to-high heel. Need to snap those up when I see them!

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Starting a new day and feeling pretty good about it. I keep thinking about the long weekend coming up and all the work I'll get done. Didn't work out yesterday, just couldn't convince myself to go to the gym, instead I came home, laid down and went to sleep instantly. Maybe I'll go tonight, then again, maybe not. Maybe I'll die chubby. Naah, I'll get it together. Eventually. :-)

some thoughts on workin...

A quick post tonight. Have found a wonderful new blog Scrapperlicious, and have lost a whole bunch of time wandering around on it admiring her work. What a lovely way to "waste" my time. Tomorrow is Mother's Day and the girl is taking me out for brekkie. She asked me where I want to go and I said Denny's. I just love Denny's don't you? Maybe it's not the most elegant place, but I like the down home waitstaff and the good food. Am looking forward to it.

May, the month before June

So here I am on a Monday morning. Weekend was good, if tiring. We checked out the landscape for K's foray into the world of university. It's a big deal. A REALLY big deal. I'll miss her.

I was ready to go out the door this morning at 7:30 when I realized I don't need to be at work until 11ish. Geesh. so I've been trying some digital things with little success and much frustration. Oh well, tomorrow's another day. I'n outta here.

Thursday, April 30, 2009

We're off to Lethbridge tomorrow morning to go to K's University. I'm looking forward to it, she'll meet her profs and everything, that's a good start. I want to take lots of pics.

I listen to the news about H1N1 flu aka swine flu. Part of me gets a little bit scared and another part of me thinks this is much ado about nothing. You get both views if you listen to the news long enough. K is scared, I can tell, she listens to the news now, normally doesn't that much. I hope it's nothing. This world can be scary sometimes, these days. Obama held a news conference telling people to wash their hands. Well duh. Hopefully, we all know that already.

May begins tomorrow. that means June is closer. It snowed for a bit while I was at the college this evening. That's just plain stupid. Enough already. I'm trying to cheer myself up by planning a trip to the Grand Canyon this summer. and Vegas. It'll be our last hurrah before K leaves home.

Mojo challenge 33

What do I love from Peter Pan? Well, Peter asks us "Do you know why swallows nest in the eaves of houses? To hear the stories." That's what I love, the stories. IMO, the library has the keys to the kingdom. When my girl was less than a year old, she would sit in her stroller and look at picture books. Once, in her toddlerdom, I found she had stacked all her books in a pile in her room; the pile was a high as her. Not the best use for books, but you get the picture. I love books and I love stories-the Internet will never change that.

Friday, April 24, 2009

OK, I have to admit it to myself. I blog at the end of the weekend and the beginning of the weekend. As much as I have good intentions, I'm not getting it done any more than that. It'll have to be good enough. Tomorrow our kazoo band is performing in the Red Hat Parade. Gadzooks, I never thought I'd hear myself say that! I'm sitting here, wearing my red cowboy hat, and my kazoo is polished and ready. Apparently the girls are planning to add a shot of liquor to their coffees tomorrow morning before we go do it, I'd better keep an eye on my cup. Heaven forbid they put some in my coffee, I'd be playing my kazoo in Texas. Or maybe jail.

Monday, April 20, 2009

Not much to say tonight. I had a great weekend, got lots done. Today was OK, but I had a migraine and so didn't work out. Not sure if it's the weather or what. Went for dim sum yesterday with the Red Hatters and had a really good time, the ladies are all really friendly. That makes it easier for someone like me to get to know them.

That's it for tonight. time for bed.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Things I love

I've been thinking about my favorite things. What are they and what do they say about me? My top 5 are massages, the library, construction sites, my bed and eating out. Well, let's see, I like to relax and sleep, read and go out to dinner. But construction sites? Not only construction sites, but any big plants like cement factories, automobile manufacturing plants, even the rebar mill not far from here. I love them all. I wonder if there is a travelling group which visits great big places which do great big things on their summer vacation? Maybe not.
But if there is, I should join. Absolutely, I should join.

Friday, April 17, 2009

I hear she's working on something new, have you heard anything?

I've been staying up (too) late working on my art journal and the metal box to keep it in this week. I love it. Stippled various paint and glitter to cover, made a dancer-paper doll, did some mosaic work on one side and shredded some strips of a patterned paper and laid them on top. Added one of the polymer clay flowers I made to finish and a lovely shabby flower from SugarJen's tutorial on A Year of Color.

Then of course that process led to another altered art page on which I wove the remaining strips of paper onto a page which I embellished with glimmer mist and a tulle flower. Am I ever going to get back to working on Cuba? Likely the Americans will be there before I do.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Hey, does anyone know what's up with Google? why don't I get my history when I type in the first few letters of where I want to go? Instead, I get all this useless crap that is someone else's idea of what I MIGHT be interested in. I thought maybe I had accidentally installed the Google toolbar, but nope, it's not there. Is this more Big Brother?
This LO, by the way is done from a newspaper article I cut out, let's see, over 20 years ago. I scanned it and did a digital piece. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and it does represent the BEST memories. We had so much fun, if you look real close you can see me down there in the crowd, under the fireworks, partying hearty. Look REAL close now. :-)

Had a good long weekend, K & I scrubbed the house from top to bottom. It feels so much better in here... now I can concentrate on my art. It's almost bedtime, but I think I shall stamp and emboss something on a piece of lime-green foil I have. Come to think of it, I have some lime-green embossing powder. Oh! Cool! gotta go!

My Imaginary Friend

The current Mojo challenge is to do a LO on my imaginary friend. My gosh, I have so many, it was hard to choose. (That says something disturbing about me, I think). At any rate, this little buddy, Christian name: Harold, spends the day connected telepathically to me and catches all of the thoughts I have that you wouldn't want me to say out loud. THEN, when I get home at night, Harold makes bail and we spend the evening muttering together about:

a. urfy-durfs I have met that day b. what I would like to do to those urfy-durfs c. how superior both Harold and I are to the urfy-durfs. (Reality programs provide the same sort of support for me).

At the end of each day, Harold returns to his little room to sleep and prepare for the next day's activities.

I love Harold.

Had a wonderful day today, it's like summer outside! K & I went to Kublai for supper and I tried to talk her into walking around downtown with me to take pictures, but she wasn't interested. Actually, she was hungry. I did convince her to walk to one construction site with me so I could check out the big hole in the ground, but couldn't see it as well as I would have liked. We heard on the news that 3 railcars had derailed in the city yards and were going to be righted by a crane, but we couldn't get close enough. I would have LOVED to have see that and taken pics! We saw the cranes, but K wasn't willing to drive the truck into the yards. She was probably right, railway police can be pretty nasty.

How Much is Too Much?

Challenge 102-the question is "How Much is Too Much? I'd say, Nothing is too much.

But then, we all know that I like lots of activity on my LO's. This one was way fun, I just kept going and going-the site and their challenges are the perfect vehicle for me. They inspire me and, as the site says, I get to use up my all-too-plentiful stash of supplies. My name is Patti and I'm a scrapbook-supply-aholic. Maybe I'll go to a meeting and recover. or maybe I won't.

It's a fine spring day and I have a massage booked this afternoon-I'm outta here!

Dare 47

Hah! I'm on the first of 4 days off in a row! I'm making the first day last as long as I can, it's now almost 3 AM. of course, I'll regret it tomorrow, but right now it's pretty OK. I got lots of art done today and loved every moment of doing it. Here's my take on the Dare 47: Life.

Life is good, Life is art. Life is the ultimate in creativity.

"Curiosita, Leonardo Da Vince called it.

Started feeling sick at work this afternoon, when I left, I began to feel even worse. So came home and went to bed. I missed kazoo practice and feel pretty badly about that, but sick happens. Back to bed now.

It's late, I just have had a guilt attack for not blogging for so long.
I need to be up in 5 1/2 hours. Having said that, Good night.
